Nursing Faculty (Multiple Positions Available)
POSITION: Full-Time Nursing Faculty (Assistant Professor)
Department: Nursing, Division of Health Professions
Appointment: Tenure Track
Location: Lawrence Campus, 414 Common Street
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Union: MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position
Position is contingent upon funding.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Teach didactic lectures in specialties including Maternal/Child Health, Pediatrics, Psychiatric Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Skills Lab, and Pharmacology.
- Teach in classroom, clinical, and simulation laboratory settings.
- Participate in curriculum development and program accreditation.
- Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical settings.
- Develop instructional materials consistent with course objectives.
- Advise students and participate on program and college committees.
- Maintain expertise and currency in nursing practice and teaching.
- Participate in college service activities.
- Perform duties outlined in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years of full-time nursing employment within the past five years.
- Evidence of clinical competence in Medical-Surgical Nursing.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
- Ability to collaborate in a team-teaching environment.
- Ability to pass a required 10-panel drug screen for clinical placement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing undergraduate nursing curriculum.
- Experience with simulation development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of ACEN accreditation standards and Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulations.
- Experience teaching face-to-face, online, hybrid, or via videoconferencing.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Salary: $77,865–$87,076 per academic year, depending on education and experience.
