Adjunct Faculty - Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Physics POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Physics; Engineering & Physics Department; STEM Division; Haverhill; MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill campus. Seeking instructors for primarily evening classes.
SUMMARY: We are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty. Specifically, for the Spring 2027 semester, we are looking for candidates for CTE112 and EST104.
Successful applicants should be able to teach additional engineering and physics courses, dependent on demand each semester. Future possibility of online or hybrid instruction exists and would require successful completion of mandatory training. Adjunct faculty will engage in a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success.

REPORTS TO: Dean of STEM
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, syllabus requirements, materials posted on the LMS, and required meetings.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Master's degree in related field
- Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
- Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Community College teaching experience
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
- Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:- All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).
Additional Information:
SALARY: $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As needed, based on departmental requirements and candidate availability.
