The Opportunity
Northeastern University ("Northeastern") is seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial academic leader to serve as the Dunton Family Dean of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business (DMSB). Reporting to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as DMSB's chief academic and executive officer and as a member of Northeastern's senior academic leadership team. The Dean will build on a strong foundation to advance the School's distinctive model of experiential business education, deepening its global reach, growing its research enterprise, and strengthening the partnerships that define Northeastern's approach to business education.
The Dean bears responsibility for DMSB's faculty, staff, and students, as well as for the School's long-term strategic direction and financial health. As a visible ambassador for DMSB, the Dean will cultivate relationships across the university and with corporate, civic, and global partners. The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated record of leadership in a complex academic or professional environment, a deep commitment to world-class scholarship and experiential learning, and the interpersonal skill to engage a wide range of constituencies.

The undergraduate program ranks #13 nationally (Poets & Quants, 2026), and student entrepreneurs have raised more than $396 million through IDEA, Northeastern's student-run venture accelerator. DMSB students work with more than 600 co-op employers across nearly 60 countries, and 92% of 2024 graduates were working or enrolled in a graduate program within nine months of completing their studies. The school is recognized for particular strength in entrepreneurship, emerging markets, and fintech.
