Major responsibilities include teaching a full range of courses in German language, linguistics and culture; commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly research; willingness to participate in departmental activities, serve on committees, and engage in community outreach. Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in German or appropriate related field earned by August 17, 2018; native or near-native fluency in German and English; evidence of successful college-level teaching; evidence of potential to publish peer-reviewed scholarship willingness to commit to active engagement in departmental, university and community activities and service.
