Educational Planner for Enrollment Services
Jefferson Community College, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System, is conducting a search for a full-time Educational Planner for Enrollment Services. This position supports adult learners, including students enrolled in SUNY Reconnect and the College in Prison programs.
Responsibilities include verifying program eligibility and maintenance, academic advising, individualized educational planning, and career and transfer advising for adult learner populations. The Educational Planner will ensure the implementation of program activities and services designed to enhance access, persistence, and completion for adult learners. This role provides seamless and exceptional service through personalized support and attention that fosters student success and engagement. The successful candidate will be passionate about assisting students in achieving their educational goals and will understand the barriers and challenges facing students in higher education, particularly the community college setting. The Educational Planner will work closely with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the current Strategic Plan. This is an in-person position.
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of appropriate professional experience.
Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
Preferred: Experience in counseling, college admissions, advising, or student financial aid is highly desirable.
$47,589 - $52,347/yr. for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity.
