In 1976, allied health and helping profession programs at Western Michigan University came together in the College of Health and Human Services. It included programs like occupational therapy, the first non-teacher program at WMU, and blindness and low vision studies, one of the largest programs of its kind in the nation. Newer programs like the Doctor of Physical Therapy and B.S. in Health Administration show how we are growing and evolving to meet the needs of students and community.
We also continue to lead with modern, updated facilities and ample opportunities for interprofessional education. Everything we do is aimed at providing you with the best education we can to prepare you for today's ever-changing health care and human services careers.
