The Department of Public Affairs and Planning offers a nationally recognized NASPAA accredited Master of Public Administration degree (online, campus, city-based cohort) that is among the top fifteen largest enrolled programs, a doctorate in Public Administration and Public
Policy, and graduate certificates in Public Budgeting and Financial Management, Urban Nonprofit Management. It also offers master’s and doctoral degrees in City and Regional Planning with graduate certificates in Geographic Information Systems, Transportation Planning and Policy, and Development Review. The Department is housed within the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs (CAPPA). CAPPA offers master’s degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture, and bachelor degrees in Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. CAPPA is home to research centers including the Institute of Urban Studies (IUS), the Center for Transportation, Equity, Decisions and Dollars (CTEDD), and the David Dillon Center for Texas Architecture.
