Ferra Executive Search was founded by Kevin Ferra, a global talent acquisition leader with almost 20 years of experience in healthcare and higher education. Founded in 2015, Ferra Executive Search is a Pittsburgh-based boutique search firm focused entirely on mission-driven organizations. Founding partner, Kevin Ferra has recruited and led talent acquisition teams for nearly 20 years both domestically and internationally and has amassed significant experience codifying, translating and implementing company culture across diverse workforce environments. Since launching Ferra Executive Search, Kevin has established a track record of successfully completing executive searches and expanded the Ferra Executive Search footprint and client portfolio to the Washington, D.C. metro area. Our consultants specialize in recruiting executive and leadership positions in higher education, healthcare, and other mission driven organizations. Guided by a combined 40 years of experience, our team brings an extensive industry knowledge, a thorough understanding of designing workforce plans, and a keen ability to articulate job design and role responsibilities. Prior to starting Ferra Executive Search, Ferra successfully led the talent acquisition and mobility efforts for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, a partnership between the Abu Dhabi government and the Cleveland Clinic. This was the largest and most complex healthcare project in the world and was the biggest global recruitment effort in medicine with hiring occurring in over 60 countries. Kevin’s team earned awards for operational excellence and was recognized by the Brandon Hall Group for developing a best-in-class talent acquisition and mobility program. Kevin has also successfully led the recruitment and mobilization efforts for Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in Qatar, a partnership with the Qatar Foundation to create an "education city" comprised of several strategic universities. He has also previously worked on Georgetown's main campus in Washington D.C. focusing exclusively on hard-to-fill positions across the university. Kevin began his career recruiting talent for various healthcare facilities in the United States and training new hires at Maxim Healthcare, a national recruitment firm, on recruitment best practices. He was also a key member of Maxim's international healthcare recruitment team, establishing an office in the Philippines, while managing all territories outside of the United States. Kevin is originally from Pittsburgh and when he isn’t recruiting, he loves spending time outdoors with his family and dogs. He’s also passionate about Therapy Dogs of Pittsburgh, his initiative that supports universities and hospitals in the Greater Pittsburgh area. To date, the Therapy Dogs of Pittsburgh has sponsored more than 21 dogs to receive full therapy dog training and support for those in need.
