Oregon State is an international public research university that draws people from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. We are one of just three land, sea, space and sun grant universities in the U.S. The Department of Statistics is the only standalone statistics department in Oregon. We consist of 14 tenure-track professors, four instructors, and approximately 35 on-campus graduate students. We offer MS and PhD programs in Statistics, and we have a popular on-line MS program in Data Analytics. Our faculty research interests include genomics, networks, non-parametrics, Bayesian methods, biostatistics, environmental and ecological statistics, and sampling.
