Nestled in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area of Oregon and Washington, Columbia Gorge Community College served slightly more than 4,300 students (1,680 credit students) in 2016-17. Current FTE is 844. We aspire to better engage local populations that have been underrepresented in our student body, including Latinx, immigrants, Native Americans, and those from a background of multi-generational rural poverty.
The college prepares students for careers in nursing, renewable energy and related electro-mechanical fields, and business administration. The college is the only institution of higher education in the region, offering a gateway to four-year degrees through partner universities across Oregon.
The college’s main campus in The Dalles, Ore., (pop. 13,620) occupies 62 acres overlooking the Columbia River. The 13.5 acre Hood River campus is 30 minutes west.
