University of North Carolina Wilmington TWO TENURE-TRACK POSITIONS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY Position numbers 403 and 402 The Department of Biology & Marine Biology and the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invite applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level whose research focuses on biotechnology with potential application in the area of marine science. Successful candidates will 1) be committed to teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the curriculum of the respective departments; 2) establish and maintain an independent, externally-funded research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students; and 3) have the potential to collaborate in research with faculty in both departments and across the coastal and marine sciences at UNCW. A Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral experience or significant industrial experience are required. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Position #403.
