Assistant Professor Health Sciences and Human Performance The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a renewable term position in Health Science and Human Performance at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2018. The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of 8,913 undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants with a Master’s degree in a Health Sciences and Human Performance related discipline will be considered for Instructor. Applicants with an earned Doctorate degree in a Health Sciences and Human Performance related discipline by August 2018 will be considered for Assistant Professor. Master’s degree applicants are expected to document at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the college level. Responsibilities will include a teaching load of 27 credit/contact hours per academic year at the undergraduate level. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in teaching a range of health sciences (i.e., personal health, medical terminology, human nutrition, introduction to health professions, etc.) content are especially encouraged to apply. Additional instructor certification in Emergency Medical Response is desirable. Candidates are expected to have an interest in and the ability to teach courses at the introductory and upper division levels. In addition, candidates who demonstrate experience in or desire to develop interprofessional practice, leadership, and collaboration experiences are desired. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in lower and upper division undergraduate courses is required.
