Department/School Summary:
The Administrative Services Program at Fresno Pacific University serves the Pre-K-12 educational community throughout the state, primarily in the San Joaquin Valley. The program offers the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential, the Clear Administrative Services Credential, and a Master of Arts in Education degree (Administrative Services). The program is well known in for its excellence in education and graduates are prepared and highly regarded as leaders in their communities. The coordinator of this program reports to the Director of the Administrative Services Program, the Chair of the Student Services and Leadership Department, and the Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. The coordinator collaborates with the Director in providing leadership and management of the administrative services credential programs and MA degree program based at the Fresno, Visalia, and Bakersfield campuses.
Essential Functions
- Teach in the Administrative Services program.
- Collaborate with the Director and adjunct faculty to develop and maintain the curriculum of program courses.
- Recruit, support, and work with site director and adjunct teaching faculty.
- Provide leadership and work collaboratively with the directors to assure continuity and proper implementation of policies and procedures.
- Participate in activities required to maintain program accreditation by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) Senior College and University Commission.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and manage the program budget.
- Work with university personnel to recruit candidates to the program.
- Advise prospective and active students.
- Evaluate and facilitate exit interviews of candidates.
- Work collaboratively with other program faculty in the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
- Stay abreast of local, state, and national educational changes and focus.
- Connect with local communities and local schools and other educational agencies to open and maintain positive communications within the educational communities.
- Participate in school administrative professional associations and activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in an academic context that integrates your Christian faith and learning.

Qualifications
Required:
- Earned terminal degree in appropriate field of study (candidates with a master’s degree, or those nearing terminal degree completion, may be considered).
- Record or promise of scholarly achievement
- California Administrative Services Credential
- Successful experience teaching at the Pre-K-12, college, and/or university levels.
- Evidence of experience and effectiveness in managing a diverse group in a complex work environment.
- Ability to work with candidates, staff, and faculty in a collegial environment.
- Understanding of 21st century learner needs and norms.
- Ability to teach and work with individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Possess skills in information and communication technologies.
- Capacity to problem-solve, resolve conflicts and work collaboratively with others.
- Possesses knowledge, understanding, and application of the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs).
- Commitment to the Christian faith and the University’s mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.
Preferred:
- Successful experience teaching in an administrative services education program or other graduate education program(s).
- Successful administrative experience in education at principal and/or higher district levels.
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.
- Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per day.
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments.
- Public contact position requiring professional apparel, personal hygiene, and grooming.
Physical Demands:
- This position typically functions indoors in an office environment with light to moderate noise associated with business office equipment. The position may involve travel for meetings and events.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: remain in a stationary position 80 % of the time, be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets/office machinery etc., operate a computer and keyboard and other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to position self to reach items on the floor and in high cabinetry.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to communicate with others to exchange information including both over the telephone and in-person communication with callers and community members and be able to read a computer screen and paper documents.

$68,640.00 to $99,150.00 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
