Position Summary: Gettysburg College invites applications for an open rank visiting faculty position to be held jointly in the Department of Economics and the Department of Management. This position will be hired for a three-year term, renewable each year based on a favorable performance review. Given our mission-inscribed values to effect change for the greater good, our search is grounded in the College’s values of diversity, equity and inclusion. This position will support the college’s new Finance major, which is jointly managed by the Economics and Management Departments. The successful candidate will teach courses at all levels in the new major, such as financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, as well as elective finance courses like corporate finance and investments, and a senior capstone course. The teaching load is the equivalent of 6 courses each year. The appointment begins in August 2025.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should be committed to teaching in the liberal arts tradition and engage in a program of research that informs their teaching. Ability to teach a financial modeling course in addition to other finance courses is required. Applicants should have teaching experience at the undergraduate level in finance. Professional experience is desirable, and a Ph.D. in Business, Economics, Finance, Management or a related field is preferred. We are actively seeking highly qualified candidates that come from underrepresented groups.
