The Georgetown University Writing Program in the Department of English invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor. The Writing Program is responsible for the University's first-year writing requirement, its writing-in-the-disciplines program (called Integrated Writing), and an expanding portfolio of writing initiatives. Assistant Teaching Professors teach three courses each term, mostly first-year writing (capped at 15 students per section), and contribute to Writing Program initiatives. Non-tenure line faculty at Georgetown University are eligible for merit pay, contract renewal, promotion, benefits (including parental leave), and participation in faculty governance.

The projected base salary range is $58,927 - $65,474. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
