The Economics Department at Colby College invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions at the Assistant or advanced Assistant level. We are searching for economists with a potential for excellence in research and teaching. Each member of the department faculty is expected to contribute to the department’s core curriculum. For these positions, we seek to hire colleagues who can contribute to our econometrics (position 1) and macroeconomics (position 2) sequences. All faculty also offer elective courses that are informed by their scholarship. The teaching load at Colby is 4.5 courses per year, typically achieved in the department through 3 distinct courses a year. We are looking for candidates who can work with us to engage and support students from diverse cultural, demographic, and socio-economic backgrounds and especially encourage applications from underrepresented groups in economics.
