The position directly supports proposal preparation efforts of our faculty/staff, ensuring each proposal meets the technical and budgetary requirements of the sponsoring agency, federal regulations, and the policies/procedures of the University prior to submission. Assists with all administrative/ non financial post award requirements.
-Interacts with principal investigators, assisting them with development, preparation, and submission of proposals for external funding to various funding agencies.
- Reviews all proposals prior to submission and confirms compliance with sponsor guidelines, as well as with University and ORS policies and procedures.
- Reviews and analyzes award documents prior to acceptance.
- Keeps updated on all new federal and state regulations that apply to the grant process; interprets agency-specific guidelines/regulations that apply to the proposal and award process.
- Provides consultation and expertise to faculty, staff and sponsors regarding terms and conditions of grants, contracts, and subcontracts.
- Collaborates and creates partnerships with other units within the University that interact and serve principal investigators.
- Performs related duties as required.
