Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Widener University seeks an experienced, strategic, and forward-looking leader for the position of Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to President Stacey Robertson and serving as a member of her core leadership team, the Vice President and CFO will partner with an experienced team of administration and finance leaders to ensure financial sustainability, optimize resource allocation, and drive strategic financial initiatives that support the university's mission and long-term goals.
Since its founding in 1821, Widener has undergone multiple transformations to become a selective, nationally-ranked, doctoral university. Today, Widener University’s oldest campus in the City of Chester is located just off I-95 and is only twenty minutes from Philadelphia, the nation’s sixth-largest city and home to world-class art, culture, sports, entertainment, and history. The Chester campus sits on 110 acres and has benefited from over $220 million in new construction and renovations over the past decade.
The new Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer will be expected to bring a creative, forward-looking perspective to the University’s strategic planning and financial management. They will focus on enhancing financial sustainability, scenario planning, and fostering collaboration across the institution in the face of the changing landscape of higher education. They will interact with the Board of Trustees, campus leadership, and other key stakeholders to ensure the university's financial health and strategic growth.
This is a full-time position that will be performed on-site in Pennsylvania. Salary commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
