Reporting to the Computer Systems Manager, the IT Academic Applications Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Analyze data to identify trends in student’s behavior to inform advising team-based programming and assessment Generate standard and custom reports summarizing student data for review by senior leadership and other stakeholders;
• Identify and evaluate technological best practices for the use of technology in higher education;
• Lead the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand the behaviors of students Oversee all aspects of analytics and business intelligence projects;
• Partner with Information Technology to develop a stable and reliable platform for reporting and presenting data to key stakeholders, and to develop key performance indicator dashboards;
•  Plan, implement, and standardize the overall framework for data collection across the area;
• Provide training on the colleges electronic systems;
• Support the analytical needs of the Road to Success initiative;
• Support the Assistant Dean for Advising, Records and Registration identify information needs and develop reporting structures;
• Synthesize trend data to support recommendations for action and informed decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

-       Collaborates with faculty and other educators to help integrate technology into teaching and learning activities.

-       Evaluates faculty requirements for training and development on instructional technologies, and prepares appropriate learning programs, seminars, and materials

-       Consults with individual faculty to enhance their use of technology for teaching and learning

-       Keeps the College community abreast of developments in instructional technology

-       Recommends improvements to College and University-wide instructional systems using a variety of technologies

-       Serves as project manager and designer for the evaluation and implementation of new instructional technologies

-       May manage a staff of technology professionals

-       Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary: $67,784 - $90,375

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
