Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology seeks qualified candidates for an appointment as Lecturer, Director of Clinical Training (DCT) (non-tenure track, 3-year renewable position) beginning July 1, 2024. The Department of Psychology has 28 full-time tenure-track and 8 non-tenure-track faculty serving 1,200 majors and is located on the university’s Lakeshore Campus. The department has three doctoral programs (Clinical, Developmental, and Applied Social Psychology) and supports faculty members contributing to the Neuroscience major. The Lecturer/DCT is responsible for the administrative management of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program. Principal duties include (but are not limited to): providing academic leadership, serving on committees, collaborating with the clinical faculty to guide the program in all matters relevant to clinical training (e.g., guiding students through the internship application process), maintaining and managing APA accreditation processes, and securing and managing clinical placement contracts. This position also requires teaching one course per semester to undergraduates or doctoral students in the clinical program (i.e., a 1-1 teaching load) but does not include research responsibilities. The position is designed for a clinical psychologist who is interested in administration, clinical supervision and teaching and will play a critical role in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. training program, which includes two subareas (Clinical Child and Clinical Adult).
