Clarion University invites applications for tenure-track positions in the following disciplines to begin summer or fall 2017: Accountancy Marketing Nursing (two positions available) Speech Pathology Nutrition and Fitness Clarion University values the professor-student interaction. Opportunities for teaching during winter and summer sessions exist. A record of excellent teaching, successful scholarship, and meaningful service is expected for tenure and promotion. A doctorate in the appropriate discipline is required, although individuals who are ABD but will complete their degree prior to the beginning of the contract are encouraged to apply. Positions in Nursing and Speech Pathology require additional credentials. Evidence of teaching experience and scholarship are preferred. The selected candidate will be expected to complete a successful campus interview. Positions are contingent on the availability of funding. Clarion University, founded in 1867, is a master’s comprehensive public university and part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The University is located in northwestern PA, known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities, and is conveniently located off of I-80. Clarion offers its 5,400+ students over 90 degree programs, including 27 nationally discipline-accredited programs, the most in the state system. The University has two campuses – its 128-acre main campus and the Venango campus located in Oil City.
