Job Title: Baruch College – Administrative Coordinator - Zicklin School of Business 16965 Job Description: Baruch College invites applications for the Administrative Coordinator position in the Accountancy department at the Zicklin School of Business. This position reports to the Department Chair. Responsibilities include supporting projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department, such as: - Serves as office coordinator with limited supervision, in a highly complex office, responsible for serving 2,000 accountancy students and approximately 85 faculty members. - Supervises support staff and student workers, ensuring welcoming and courteous treatment of students, employees, and guests with diplomacy and tact. - Interacts with other College offices, including the Registrar and Dean’s Offices, to coordinate activities and resolve problems. - Performs complex administrative tasks, including data collection and preparing reports using Word and Excel - Assists students and faculty members by providing information, instructions, or materials as appropriate. - Coordinates weekly research seminar including all meetings with faculty members and travel arrangements. - Maintains faculty and staff office equipment and arranges for repairs, as necessary. - Maintains departmental databases and files, including highly sensitive faculty and staff personnel files. - Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets and assists in administration and processing of check requests and purchase orders.
